Ever Have...

Ever have one of those days where everything in the world makes you crazy angry? Yeah. That's me today. I'm mad at my job, my boyfriend, my parents, myself, everything. Even though they did nothing to warrant this anger, I can't help but feel the need to take it out on people. That and the fact that they keep knocking on my door every five seconds to do something useless really isn't fucking helping. Today my theme song is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GJa-TUaJjU

Makes fuckin sense

But anyway the picture is my upcoming spring look. I know the colors are for fall but to be honest, I don't give a fuck. Saying that fashion has rules is like saying Britney Spears has good taste. It just is a straight up lie.

R.I.P. TWS

As I'm sure all of you know, The White Stripes are officially broken up. I just have one question: Is there any justice in the world? Answer: No, of course there isn't. There is still a chance for me to see Jack White in person (Bonnaroo here I come!), but now i will never see him in his true form, his domain. Although every band seems to be Mr. White's domain, I don't think any of them are as much of himself as The White Stripes. I remember the first time I heard them when I was 12 years old. That was a deciding point in my life, a moment where I said to myself, "Ok Abi, you can go with this, or you can keep on going the way you were before." Jack White's guitar playing changed the direction of my life forever. The year was 2004, the album was White Blood Cells. It was one of those moments where you either hated it, or loved it, and I loved it, to the bone. When he played the guitar, it sounded like he was talking, and I knew exactly what he was saying. I have The White Stripes to thank for my personality today. If I had not discovered them in my formitive years...I shudder to think what sort of Fall Out Boy band t-shirt emo swooping groupie I would have become. They introduced me to the blues, and it only got better from there. In the past six years, music has made it's way to my eardrums via friends, family, internet, and pure chance. All of the bands I have falling in and out of love with remain on my list of musical casualties, creating a ragged sort of time line. But throughout this battle trail of bands The White Stripes has appeared again and again, securing their spot as the reigning sound of my soul. Thank you Meg, Jack, you will be sorely missed.
